During a week's vacation in Western Australia's south-west, I spent many enjoyable hours photographing the water close to our riverside cabin and completed this painting over the days which followed. In the spring sunshine, the crispness and clarity of the air was invigorating and the airborne water droplets in these miniature rapids resembled suspended jewels.
