	I was able to approach quite closely with my camera as this kangaroo fed busily on grasses after resting in the shade during the heat of the day. He looked surprised when he eventually looked up and met my gaze, but I'm sure he had been aware of my presence all along - it's hard to move quietly through such thick spinifex grass!
